I'm Just Imagining

I woke up this morning and a triangle sun
Was shining in the purple sky
The trees were orange and the flowers were black
And the elephants could fly

My feet both had fingers and my hands both had toes
And my head was upside-down
And mom had a mustache and a suit and a tie
And my dad was in a gown

But I'm just imagining it
I'm just imagining it
That's not really real
I'm just imagining it
I'm just imagining
Depends on how I feel

And late in the evening when I'm reading a book
I'll reach my hand inside
And pull out Tom Sawyer and we'll go build a fort
Underneath the playground slide

We'll swim in volcanoes and we'll sleep in the woods
And we'll picnic on the sun
And make suits of armour out of tin foil rolls
And fill our lives with fun

But I'm just imagining it
I'm just imagining it
That's not really real
I'm just imagining it
I'm just imagining
Depends on how I feel
